Young Swindon motor technician takes podium place at Silverstone
Elliot Harris of Pebley Beach in Swindon was one of 17 technicians from across the UK to graduate from Suzuki’s well-respected Advanced Apprenticeship Programme.
Elliot collected his apprenticeship completion certificate and Level 3 advanced apprenticeship award from Denis Houston and Ian Price of Suzuki GB.
The graduation ceremony celebrated the successful completion of the practical hands-on learning initiative, which takes place over three years.
Throughout the apprenticeship, Elliot undertook block release tuition at the dedicated and state-of-the-art Suzuki training facility, whilst also enjoying support and a structured career path during his full-time employment at Pebley Beach.
Denis Houston, director of aftersales for Suzuki GB said: “We would like to congratulate all of this year’s apprentices on their fantastic achievement, a great reward for all their hard work and dedication to the programme.
“Each of these individuals have always demonstrated a real passion for our products, as well as the desire to provide an excellent service to our customers, which are both central to the ongoing success of our brand.
“The apprentices are worthy ambassadors of Suzuki, and they will be able to apply and share the valuable learning that they have gained during their work with others, and continue to evolve in-line with the fast-paced automotive sector. We wish them the very best for the next chapter of their careers.”
Pebley Beach managing director Dominic Threlfall said: “Pebley Beach is committed to the training of young technicians and seeing them through their qualifications, from Advanced Apprenticeship Programme to Master Technician.
“Furthermore, we believe that every motor technician should hold a nationally-recognised qualification, offering assurance of quality workmanship to members of the public. We continue to lobby Parliament to achieve this.
“Meanwhile, we’re very proud of everything Elliot has achieved, and worked so hard for.”
