Pebley apprentice scoops top prize at Suzuki Skills Awards
Pebley Beach apprentice Elliot Harris has won top prize at the Suzuki Skills Awards ceremony.
Elliot, who has been with the Swindon-based Suzuki dealer for three-and-a-half years, won the Tim Crewdson trophy after nominated by his trainer for his outstanding performance during the last twelve months of his apprenticeship.
“I am delighted to have won this prestigious award, and would like to thank my mentor for his nomination and exceptional guidance,” said Elliot. “The contest has provided me with valuable learning that I can now add to the extensive experience that I have already gained during my apprenticeship. I look forward to an exciting career with Suzuki.”
Denis Houston, Director of Aftersales, Suzuki GB PLC added: “We would like to congratulate Elliot on a fantastic and well-deserved achievement, and for the continued commitment that he has shown to his work, which has clearly paid off. He has proved a dedicated and valued member of his dealer team, and he is certainly a rising star of the future who we are proud to have within our network.”
The annual Suzuki Skills Awards event is the culmination of a contest which is part of the brand’s distance learning programme. The initiative has been designed to enhance the skills of individuals within the dealer network, thereby ensuring that work is of the best quality, and that Suzuki customers nationwide always receive the best standard of care.
The Tim Crewdson trophy is named after the Suzuki apprentice student who lost his life in a car accident in 2007.
